We are trying to get our backyard certifed by the Canadian Wildlife Federation as a backyard
habitat. We found out about this program while we were watching Zoom. We are working on our backyard so it can be a good place
for animals, insects, and birds,.
We need to get more plants growing and a few more birdhouses. Right now we have
some berry plants for food, a lot of driftwood for shelter and birdfood, and we have 2 birdhouses. For a water source
we have a birdbath, but we want to add another.
Some visitors we've had so far were birds, dragonflies, a skunk family, a few feral cats,
and squirrels.
We are hoping to get more animals in our backyard as our habitat improves. We will be
posting pics on our site and sending some to Zoom to say," Thank You for the great idea."
